Why Java or... Java??? You must be kidding me!!!.
Yes Java. I understand that Java is not the right programming language for implementing such a tool, but Java is my favorite language.
Java is not as quick as C or C++ are, but is capable for implementing a variety of networking stuff including a brute force tool. Java can do it too and quite well as you can see for yourself.
The primary goal is to port this application to j2me for mobile phones with networking capabilities and smart phones running Android.
My secondary goal was to demonstrate rapid application development with Java, practice with the networking libraries of Java, the Threads and try to write efficient code as good as I could.
So, yes, Java IS the right language for this app.
